Our story

Field Energy Services (FES) is a family-owned, dedicated, high-voltage service company committed to evolution, sustainability, and growth.

We recognised a gap in the market and a need for high-voltage services specialising in switchgear installation, maintenance, repair, and testing in Australia. In addition, we also saw a gap in providing substation construction and commissioning services for utilities, rail, and mining sectors throughout Australia.

And hence FES was established in 2014 by Owner Dino Melosi, as a one-person team, with an innovative yet sustainable vision.

As the industry has evolved over the past 10 years, and the volume of dedicated projects investing in high-voltage sustainable solutions has increased, FES has fluidly evolved and led the way as a growing small business within the industry.

FES has a strong focus on upskilling its technicians to increase capability and efficiency in work practices along with investment in best practice technology and testing equipment.

FES prides itself on its journey so far, its loyalty to customers and delivery success. We have a long-term strategy to ensure we are agile enough to continue to evolve and leave our legacy in the HV industry in Australia.

Dino Melosi

Owner & Lead Technician

Dino Melosi, Owner, and Lead Technician heads the FES team onsite. Dino has over 20 years of experience and specialised qualifications in the high voltage industry working for major companies prior to establishing FES.

Dinos work ethics come from a long history of family businesses both in Italy and Australia, demonstrating to him at a young age the importance of hard work and dedication.

Dino’s passion for the HV industry is evident in all aspects of how he operates his business. The passion and dedication is contagious.

Dino and the team at FES, brings multiple capabilities within the workforce specialising in HV Switchgear connectors and disconnectors, with three main areas; Substation Construction Services, Switchgear Gas & Air Insulated GIS/ AIS 6.6kV-500kV and Testing and Commissioning.

Paramount to Dinos success is his ability to be adaptable to our customer’s needs by utilising our skilled team in Switchgear, SF6 Gas recovery and gas analysis.

Dino is a one in a kind genuine hands-on leader in the HV Industry in Australia.

Melissa Zamudio

General Manager

Melissa Zamudio, General Manager, leads the FES team. Mel has over 24 years of experience in corporate in operational, strategic and people leadership.

Mel is a highly engaged people leader with extensive experience leading large operations and teams <400-2000 employees, in complex and heavily industrial landscapes. Mel has worked as an Executive people leader for major organisations across media, energy and aviation prior to establishing FES.

Mel has a proven track record in developing the right strategies, identifying and influencing the appropriate opportunities, building teams of incredibly skilled individuals to empower them to transform workforce’s, enable change and deliver exceptional results.

Mel manages all aspects of the commercial and strategic space and works closely with our clients and internal team to plan and execute delivery of our projects.

Mel has worked on some major projects and has experience over the years managing through major business & global transformation allowing her to successfully demonstrate a high level of resilience in a time of pressure.

With Dinos superior technical expertise, network and innovation, coupled with Mel’s experience, they are a team of genuine passion and success.
